 Maddie Painter attends Gilbert Christian High School and is a member of the AIA's student SID program.

On Friday night the Gilbert Christian Knights defeated the Chargers of Arete Prep on Homecoming by a score of 54-0! Itwas great to see all the fans, both current and former graduates!

Notable performances include: 

• Matthew Hershey 204 yards passing, 2 TD's and added 54 yards rushing as well
• Caden Heyn caught 5 passes for 85 yards and 1 TD
• Elijio Ledesma carried the ball 17 times for 128 yards and 3 TD's. Elijio also had 10 tackles on the night.
• Sam Webb had 96 yards rushing, 71 yards receiving and 2 TD's
• Noah Holsinger and Josh Rich combined for 1 sack
• David Russell ended the game with an amazing interception
• Kaleb Powell connected on all of his PAT's and also had a 26 yard FG

The Knights will finish out the regular season this Friday @ San Carlos. They have mathematically clinched the Region Championship, which is the first in school history!
