Phoenix Horizon boys basketball coach Paul Long has been relieved of his coaching duties, sources have told AIA365.com.

Long declined to comment. School administrators could not be reached for comment. Long had a 66-44 record in four years at the school.

Horizon reached the Class 5A Division II quarterfinals in the recently completed season and the semifinals in 2009-10. Long’s teams lost in the first round in his first two seasons.

Long also teaches at Horizon, but it is uncertain whether he will remain in that capacity.
