The students, faculty and athletic department at Laveen Betty H. Fairfax High celebrated the school’s first major championship on Friday (March 11) with a rally at the school.

The Stampede, coached by Don Dominguez, defeated Scottsdale Chaparral 65-60 in a thrilling double-overtime game on March 4. The team finished with a 23-7 record.
