November 2, 2015 by Jose Garcia, AZPreps365

Due to the media requests the Arizona Interscholastic Association is receiving for the ejection of a Dysart High football player Friday evening, the AIA's officiating department released the following statement Monday morning:

(Phoenix, 11-2-15) The ejection of the Dysart High School player from the game Friday (10/30/15) is currently under review as per the appeal process outlined in the AIA bylaws. This encompasses video review of the game in its entirety and the multiple penalties that occurred, including an unsportsmanlike penalty on the player called in the 1st quarter that, combined with the second at 4:40 in the 4th quarter, resulted in an ejection by rule (Rule 9.5.Penalty – The second unsportsmanlike foul results in disqualification).

We anticipate the Appeals Committee to complete the process by Tuesday afternoon.
