Below is a press release the Arizona Interscholastic Association sent out regarding the state championships sites and start times for the Division I, II and III football championship games.
University of Phoenix Stadium & UofA to Host Upcoming D‐I, II & III State Football Championships
PHOENIX, AZ (Oct. 9, 2015) – For the 10th year, the University of Phoenix Stadium, in partnership with the Arizona Cardinals, will host the D‐I State Football Championship. For the second time in three years, University of Arizona (UofA) will be the host site for the Division II and III State Football Championships on Saturday, Nov. 28.
While some member schools had hoped all tournaments would be in the greater Phoenix area, traditional venues such as Arizona State University were not available due to construction.
Harold Slemmer, Executive Director of the AIA noted, “Our focus is to host our three top divisions and provide a truly unforgettable experience for students at a collegiate or professional venue. Our member schools are in all parts of the state and U of A is a beautiful venue to showcase the Tucson area. U of A was a gracious host in 2013, and we know they will provide a first class experience to the teams and fans of the AIA D‐III and D‐II State Football Championships.”
The D‐1 State Football Championship will take place on Friday, Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. The D‐III State Football Championship game will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m., followed by the D‐II State Football Championship game at 4:00 p.m.
All three games can be seen live on FOX Sports Arizona and they will be streamed via FOX Sports GO. Log onto FOXSportsGO.com for more information on how to watch the games on a computer or mobile device.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for high school students and younger. The student ticket price is a reduction of $1 from the year prior. Children 5 and younger will be admitted free.
