As the world turns continues in East Valley football coaching circles.

Five varsity football coaching vacancies are out there after  two more openings surfaced this week -- at McClintock where Mike Gibbons was fired after four seasons and Mesquite where Mike Reardon retired. Corona del Sol -- (Zane Zamenski fired), Mountain View (Tom Joseph fired ) and Higley (Jim Beall retired) took place last month or earlier this month giving openings last year a run for the money. And don't forget Jim Ewan has retired at Chandler and already replaced by Shawn Aguayo.

Coaching vacancies opened up last year after the season at Corona del Sol, Red Mountain, Basha, Queen Creek and San Tan Foothills. Hard to keep up in this day and age.
