Between 1988 and 2019, Brophy won 32 consecutive titles. After a five year drought, the Broncos won its 43rd championship.
Xavier last won a team title in 2017.
For Coach Glen Coy, the win came in his fourth year at the helm, meaning his current seniors were incoming freshmen in his first year.
"We had a great freshman class coming in to my first year," Coy said Saturday evening. I just wanted to get them back to where they were."
Coy, who coached for 21 years at Mountain View before taking over Xavier's program, was referring to the 28 state championships in the Gators vast trophy case.
It's now 29.

Xavier also got a crucial victory in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, beating Arizona College Prep by just under two seconds.
"That was a big one because we knew ACP was going to be right there all evening," Coy added. Xavier finished with 398 total points, with runner-up ACP at 367.
