PAGE — Tyree Stingley scored 26 points on seven 3-pointers to lead No. 6-ranked Page past Monument Valley 58-56 in an overtime thriller Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-2 guard hit 13 of 17 free-throw attempts on the night and grabbed eight rebounds for the Sand Devils (14-6, 8-1 3A North), which are now tied atop the region with Chinle.

It is the eighth win in nine games for the Page.

The Sand Devils beat Chinle 69-62 on Jan. 12, but lost to them a week ago in overtime, 70-67.

Joseph Benally scored 15 points on 5 of 13 shooting from the field for Page.

BOYS 3A: NO. 23 CAMP VERDE 66, NO. 20 SCOTTSDALE CHRISTIAN 61

SCOTTSDALE — Jordan McMahon-Fullmer poured in 31 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, Caleb Bahe added 17 and No. 22 Camp Verde outlasted Scottsdale Christian in a 66-61 win Tuesday night.

It is the fourth win in five games for the Cowboys (14-9, 4-3 3A North Central), which were 10 of 13 from the free-throw line and hit seven 3-pointers to seal the deal against a team that beat them earlier this month in Camp Verde, 76-60.

BOYS 3A: NO. 12 SHOW LOW 69, NO. 24 BLUE RIDGE 56

LAKESIDE — Preston Power led all scorers with 31 points, Nash Brewer chipped in with 11 and No. 12 Show Low went on to beat rival Blue Ridge 69-56 on Tuesday night.

It is the ninth win in 10 games for the Cougars (18-5, 3-1 3A East), which trail only Winslow by half a game for first place in the region after the Bulldogs snuck past Payson 68-67.

GIRLS 2A: NO. 6 ST. JOHNS 62, NO. 15 VALLEY 40

SANDERS — Evelyn Andrus tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 6-ranked St. Johns past Valley 62-40 on Tuesday night.

Jaycee Willis chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds for a Redskins club that used a 21-7 third-quarter run and saw six players score eight points or more.

It is the eighth win in the past nine games for St. Johns (21-5, 9-0 2A North), which made the Elite 8 a season ago before losing to No. 3-ranked Pima 43-22 in the 2A state playoffs.

FOOTBALL: QB BUCKLEY TO PLAY IN BLUE-GREY ALL-AMERICAN GAME

CAMP VERDE — After throwing for 3,372 yards and 52 touchdowns while leading his team to a region title, Camp Verde quarterback Tyson Buckley was named to the Blue-Grey High School All-American team earlier this month.

Buckley will have the opportunity to play in the All-American Bowl in Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, on Monday, Jan. 29.

Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Arizona time and is scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN 3.
