Tennis has bowed out. Baseball, softball and boys volleyball are in full swing.

That leaves track and field to enter  the postseason arena on Wednesday May 9.

Divisions I, II, III and IV decide team and individual champions Wednesday (D-I and D-II), Friday May 11 (D-III and D-IV) and Saturday May 12 (D-I, D-II, D-III and D-IV). All competition takes place at Mesa Community College. Mesa Community College is located at 1833 W. Southern Avenue in Mesa.

Wednesday's schedule features prelims and some finals for D-I and D-II boys and girls and begins at 1 p.m. with pole vault. Other field events begin at 2 p.m. and running events at 3 p.m.

Finals will be held for the following on Wednesday May 9:  Pole vault -- D-II girls and D-I and II boys; Long jump --  D-I and II girls; Triple jump -- D-I and II boys;  High jump -- D-I and II girls; Shot put -- D-I and II boys; Discus -- D-I and II girls; 3,200 relay -- D-I and II girls; 1,600 -- D-I and II boys; 800 -- D-I and D-II boys; 3,200 -- D-I and II girls.

The focus shifts to D-III and IV on Friday May 11 with prelims an some finals. Pole vault starts it at 1 p.m. with other field events commencing at 2 p.m. Running events begin at 2:30 p.m.

Finals will be held for the following on Friday May 11:  Pole vault -- D-III and IV girls and D-IV boys; Long jump -- D-III and IV  boys; Triple jump --  D-III and IV girls; High jump -- D-III and IV boys;  Shot put -- D-III and IV  girls;  Discus -- D-III and IV boys; 3,200 relay -- D-III and IV boys; 1,600 -- D-III and IV  girls; 800 -- D-III and D-IV  girls; 3,200 -- D-III and IV boys.

All remaining finals for D-I, II, III and IV wrap up the season on Saturday May 12. Long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put and discus begin at 1 p.m. followed by pole vault at 2 p.m. Track event finals begin at 2:30 p.m.

Field event finals will be held for the following on Saturday May 12: Long jump -- D-I and II boys and D-III and D-IV girls; Triple jump -- D-III and IV boys and D-I and II girls; High jump -- D-III and IV girls and D-I and II boys; Shot put -- D-I and II girls and D-III and IV boys; Discus -- D-I and II boys and D-III and IV girls.
