Julia Moore is a journalism student at Gilbert Christian High School assigned to cover high school sports for AZPREPS.com

Lili Juve is a sophomore on the Gilbert Christian Women's Basketball team. Even though she is only a sophomore, Lili is a very important asset to the team and has had quite the impressive high school basketball career so far. Lili has already scored fifty- six points this season. I was able to sit down with Lili and ask her some questions about her thoughts on how the season has been going so far.

How has COVID-19 impacted your sophomore season?

“My season has been a lot shorter; and we also have to wear masks, which makes it harder to play.”

How did you feel when winter sports were first cancelled?

“I was honestly very upset when they cancelled them.”

How is your team environment?

“Me and my teammates all work well together and love the game of basketball.”

What is one thing you are most looking forward to during this season?

“I am looking forward to getting into the playoffs!”

What are some goals you are hoping to achieve during the season?

“ I am hoping to become a better leader on and off the court.”

Lili Juve has already proven that she has accomplished so much during her two years of being a member of the Gilbert Christian Women’s Basketball Team; and, as a result, has been able to secure a position as captain during her sophomore season. She clearly has the talent and the drive to go far within the game of basketball. She has also shown that this season, nothing will stop her from accomplishing her goals.
