Gilbert Christian’s Volleyball team has had an impressive season and was able to make it to the playoffs. The Lady Knights went 9-1 in their section and ended the season 12-4 overall. The girls are ranked #7 in state and qualified for a first round by state. Their first playoff game was against Yuma Catholic where the girls played very well sweeping the Shamrocks 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-14). That game was played at 1 PM, this past Saturday, November 14th. Later that day at 5 PM, the Lady Knights’ second game set was played. The Knights lost the first two sets (18-25, 23-25), but came back in the third set and won 25-22. In the fourth set the Knights kept it close again but in the end came up short 21-25.
The Lady Knights have an amazing team, and we are all very proud of their accomplishments this past season. Go Knights!
