Legend Nichols attends Canyon View High School and is a member of the AIA's Student SID program.

The Canyon View JV B girls basketball team won against Verrado by a score of 27-24.

 

“We took our previous loss very hard as a team, we decided to go out there to win this game,” sophomore Alyssa Ochoa said.

 

Stafford started off the game by making a two pointer. Freshman Dayanara Victorino made both of her free throws, totaling a score of 4-4. Later, freshman Thamara Victorino made a two pointer, finishing off the quarter with a score of 10-9.

 

“This was our first win of the season, it felt really good,” sophomore Cassidy Stafford said.

 

In the last minutes of the game, Thamara Victorino made a basket and the JV B were able to hold on for a 27-24 win.
