With two weeks remaining in the regular season, teams are jockeying for state football playoff berths.

Based on region standings, the top team in each region will earn an automatic bid to the state tournament.

In 3A and 2A, seven automatic bids and nine at-large qualifiers based on statewide power rankings will play in the state tournament.

The 3A and 2A football state tournament features 16 teams, beginning on November 8. The quarterfinals are scheduled for November 15. The semifinals are set for November 23. The state championship are scheduled for November 29.

Kayenta Monument Valley and Ganado enter the game with identical 3-0 3A North Region records. The winner will assume the region leadership.

The Winslow-Payson contest will be a thriller. Blue Ridge is getting stronger every week.
